Event Photography
We’ve had the joy of capturing dozens of concerts and events across Staten Island and NYC! From lively festivals like She Shreds, MPR's Punk Rock Mini Golf, Punk Island, Westerleigh Folk Festival, Rose Fest, and Female Centric Faber, to intimate local shows at spots like Mother Pug's Saloon and the Hop Shoppe, we love documenting the music and energy of our community.

But our cameras don’t stop at music! We’ve also captured fun gatherings like Mocktail Mart’s Anniversary Party, Maker Park Radio’s Record Fair, MPR’s Holiday Market, and Staten Island Talent’s Artist Networking Mixer.

Whatever your event, big or small, we’re here to help you preserve those special moments. We’d love to work with you! Reach out anytime at statenislandlocals@gmail.com

This blog is an extension of a our radio show, highlighting artists and musicians through interviews and stories (because who doesn’t love a good behind-the-scenes moment?). It also covers local events so you can stay in the loop, plus a food column that dives into local eats and gives you plenty of excuses to try somewhere new.

If you would like a published or video interview to help people get to know you better, reach out to us at statenislandlocals@gmail.com!

About
Staten Island Locals was started in October 2022 by Em Casey as a radio show on WSVA Radio and eventually moved to Staten Island's own Maker Park Radio. Em plays music by SI musicians and interviews artists such as Patrick Wakie, Ben Satt, Matt Foronjy, Deke Blackburn, and more. As she got more into the local music scene Staten Island Locals expanded to include a blog featuring articles about what's happening on the island! A big highlight of the blog is Em's photography. Some notable articles include: Rosefest, Punk Island, March Madness at Richmond Tattoo, Maker Park Radio's Battle of the Bands, and Female Centric Faber. The blog also features write ups of events from guest writers such as Rayna Pajares-Held, Pam Aliotta, and Justin Alpert.
Follow the Staten Island Locals Instagram for Radio Show times and to keep updates about what's going on in the art scene in the forgotten borough.
